The amateur jockey has made history several times, including when becoming the first jockey to ride with a prosthetic limb in 2015, before twice winning the Grand Artillery Gold Cup at Sandown, and becoming the first amputee to ride over the National fences at Aintree.
Here he talks to Sky Sports Racing’s Josh Apiafi about his background in racing, how he lost his lower leg in Afghanistan, his sporting achievements and hopes a more diverse landscape in horse racing.
